We rarely have company, but I love the IDEA of entertaining! I have so many serving bowls and platters…pitchers, punch bowls…various crock pots…YOU NAME IT! The thing is, entertaining doesn’t have to be difficult.
While I have Pinterest boards FULL of appetizer and cocktail party ideas, I have a few go-to items that make an easy, but filling spread.
- Tortilla Chips & Salsa
- Cheese & Crackers
- Fruit
- Olives, Baby pickles, pickled okra
- Frozen chicken (bone-in or boneless wings)
Depending on the size of the crowd I might add a few more items, but these simple staples generally do the trick. When you arrange them on your favorite serving platters it looks pretty fancy!
Complete your menu with a few beverage options and you have a party! Here are a few of my favs:
- Cabernet Sauvignon or a Red Blend
- Pinot Grigio or Riesling
- My Mama’s Margaritas
I may have mentioned before, but I’m no wine snob. I prefer to drink what tastes good, and I don’t like to pay much for it. Of course, you know your guests, so adjust for your taste. Basically, you want to have a red and white wine choice…and a pitcher of something tasty, but potent! š
Let me know your recipe for easy entertaining in the comments!
Tis the season to entertain! These are all great! Keep them coming!
